Full Moon Open Team Bass Tournament
RULES
RULES:
The following rules will be used for the CBC Full Moon Open Team Bass
Tournament. It’s each contestant’s
responsibility to read and fully understand these rules as entrants will be
subject to disqualification for noncompliance and forfeit all prize money,
prizes and entry fees. All entrants
agree by signing this waiver/entry form that the decision of any presiding CBC
official will be final in all respects.
THE CBC HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY ENTRY.
TOURNAMENT
FORMAT: Competition will begin at
PARTICIPANTS:
Anyone 18 or older can participate in the CBC Full Moon Open. Contestants 18 years of age or older must
read, fully understand, and sign a waiver/entry form prior to
participating. Contestants 16 and 17
years of age may enter and fish only after having their parent or legal guardian
read, fully understand, and sign an entry/waiver form. The actual 16 or 17 year old contestant must
also read, fully understand and sign an entry/waiver form. Contestants under 16 years of age may compete
as long as the boater is their parent or legal guardian.
THE CBC FULL
MOON OPEN TEAM TOURNMENT REQUIRES A TEAM OF TWO PERSONS. The CBC Full Moon Open tournament will be
limited to 65 teams, unless waived by a CBC official.
ENTRY FEE
AND PAYBACK: The entry fee for the tournament is $100.00
per team. Entries must be postmarked
seven days prior to the tournament date to avoid paying a late fee. Entries accepted after the seven day period
or on the day of the tournament will only be accepted with a $20.00 late fee (cash only on the day of the tournament). The CBC will not be responsible for mailed
entries that are not delivered by the postal service or other means of
delivery. NO REFUNDS.
PROTEST:
ALL PROTEST MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING NO MORE THAN 30 MINUTES AFTER
THE OFFICIAL CHECK-IN TIME. All protest
decisions will be made by the CBC official on-site. ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND NOT SUBJECT TO
ANY GRIEVANCE OR LEGAL PROCEDURES. A
verbal protest will not be heard, a protest must be in writing.
TACKLE,
EQUIPMENT, AND TROLLING: Only one rod and reel may be
used by each contestant at any on time, and each cast must be completed before
another is made. Only artificial baits
may be used (pork trailers are the exception).
Trolling with the combustion engine is not allowed. All bass must be caught on rod and reel. No tracking, bugging, or other devices
implanted in a bass may be used. All
bass must be caught and reeled in from inside the boat. No two-way radios, cell-phones, or other
electronic communication devices may be used to transmit fishing information
during tournament hours.
BOATS,
MOTORS, AND SAFETY: Any boat 14 feet or longer, if powered by a
motor of 15 horsepower or more, may be utilized if it meets all state, federal,
and local legal requirements and laws.
All boats must meet Coast Guard requirements. All boats must have
insurance and the boatr must be able to produce it if
asked for by an official. THE CONTESTANT
IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS OR HER ACTIONS, INCLUDING SITUATIONS DUE TO
INCLEMENT WEATHER. It is your personal
decision to travel to and/or fish in this tournament, regardless of weather
conditions.
TOURNAMENT
HOURS: Competition will begin at
STARTING
ORDER: The tournament starting order will be
determined by a draw of a numbered chip.
A starting position will not be given to a team that submits an
incomplete entry/waiver form, not signed by both team
members, or incorrect entry fee.
The start will be a staggered start and under the control of a CBC
official.
TOURNAMENT
HEADQUARTERS: Will be the site listed on the entry form or
as designated by a CBC official. Changes
will be listed on the CBC web-site. www.centennialbass.homestead.com
PERMITTED
FISHING LOCATIONS: All areas, that can
be legally fished are opened to contestants.
All current local, state and federal laws concerning allowable
SPORTSMANSHIP:
Anyone displaying poor sportsmanship, breaking local, state or federal
laws, or violating any of the rules of this tournament will be subject to
disqualification and the loss of any entry fees or prize money. The CBC officials on-site will make any
decisions concerning disqualifications.
CHECK-IN
PROCEDURES: Contestants must be at the South Ramp at
LIVE-WELLS:
All Live wells must be capable of holding five bass. CBC encourages the constant use of the
aeration system once bass are put in the live-well. A PENALTY OF ONE POUND PER DEAD BASS WILL BE
DEDUCTED FROM THE TOTAL WEIGHT OF THE TEAMS BASS THAT ARE WEIGHED IN. If the deduction affects the team big
bass, the big bass weight will only be counted after the deduction.
KILL
SWITCHES: All boats
that operate in this tournament must have a properly working kill switch. The kill switch cord must be attached to the
driver whenever the combustion engine is running. Kill switches will be checked.
LIFE
JACKETS: Coast Guard
approved life vest MUST be worn and fastened while the combustion engine is
engaged.
ALCOHOL: ALL CONTESTANTS ARE PROHIBITED FROM CONSUMING
OR USING ALCOHOL OR DRUGS DURING THE TOURNAMENT. Consumption of alcohol or drugs after the
official tournament ending time is the decision of each adult present. The Staff of the CBC does not recommend the
use of any alcohol or drugs at the tournament site.
SCORING: Allowable tournament
fish are Largemouth, Smallmouth and Spotted Bass, all defined in
FAILURE
TO READ THESE RULES OR IGNORANCE OF THESE RULES IS NO EXCUSE. ANY VIOLATION OF
THESE RULES WILL BE GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATION FROM ALL CBC TOURNAMENTS.
KNOWLEDGE OF THESE RULES IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL
FISHING AND BOATING LAWS WILL BE FOLLOWED. CBC HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY
ENTRY.
